A workshop that helps participants see food under a different light, it looks at the dishes that were served in ancient times, and how food can become the star of a painting. The first part examines a 17th century still life by Felice Boselli, and re-creates it using an interactive whiteboard.
Subsequently, the children are asked to paint their own still life based on the principles they learned during their visit to the museum. There will also be ‘real’ still lifes that will allow the children to see and touch for themselves how the paintings match nature itself.
