The afternoon begins with a stroll around the Castle of San Giovanni, which in the past hosted Count Ramberto Malatesta and his beloved Angelina.

The event then moves to Sogliano, where Mario Pellegrini – who owns the ‘fossa’, the underground pit where the renowned formaggio di fossa cheese is produced and aged – tells the story of this product, whose history dates back to the Middle Ages.

A cheese tasting follows.

The afternoon ends with dinner at “Piccola Osteria Tèra” in Sogliano, with a menu that reflects traditional dishes from Malatesta’s day.
