Since 1988 the museum has been housed in a restructured 18th century rural home with barn known as “La Tratta”. It features a large collection of material related to rural culture, displayed according to modern, functional exhibition criteria. The exhibits focus on the Copparo area’s main productive cycles: wheat, wine, and hemp. The replicas of a kitchen, living quarters, bedroom and barn try to be as faithful as possible to the everyday life of the past.
The museum took part in the project “Villa Mensa: a long and fascinating history taking in art, culture, and agriculture”, selected as part of the third edition of the “I love cultural heritage” competition of ideas (2013-2014).
